Parker and Batum with their respective jersey of ASVEL and SLUC in the French league
The edition #2 of the NBAers abroad might well be the last one.
At long last the rich have decided to reach an agreement with the richer, that’s what a friend told me “a 1st world problem”.
The Lockout is … almost over, as the new CBA has not been signed yet, but this should only be a formality.
So let’s have a last dive into the numbers produced by the NBAers Europe.
Andrei Kirilenko – 13.8ppg, 9rpg, 3.4apg, 2.2spg (NB: was elected MVP of the Euroleague last Month)
Nicolas Batum – 15.8ppg, 6.7rpg, 5.2apg, 1.7stl (NB: was elected twice MVP of the day in the Euroleague)
Rudy Fernandez – 13.2ppg, 3rpg, 2apg, 1spg
Jordan Farmar – 14.7ppg, 4.8rpg, 4.3apg, 1.5spg
Sasha Vujacic – 14.7ppg, 3.5rpg, 1.5apg, 1.5spg
Nenad Krstic – 15.2ppg, 6.7rpg, 0.7apg, 1.2spg (NB: just been elected MVP of the month in the Euroleague)
Ty Lawson – 7ppg, 3.2rpg, 1.3apg, 0.8spg
Danilo Gallinari – 17ppg, 4.2rpg, 1apg, 0.8spg
Extra stats for two all stars who hasn’t signed for a team playing the Euroleague
Deron Williams – 19.7ppg, 3.2rpg, 6.43apg
Tony Parker – 20.9ppg, 4.9rpg, 6.3apg, 1.7spg (NB: elected MVP last month in the French League)
I haven’t done a complete list and decided to focus on the bigger names.
What we can see is that coming from the NBA is not a guarantee of success when playing for a good European team however most of these guys have done pretty well.
Soon we will see if this, “new” for some, experience will help them to improve their games once back in the NBA.
It was short but still it was nice to see them in Europe.
Best of luck!
